South Texas College utilizes an email security suite to protect staff, faculty, and students from email-based threats. Emails are blocked if detected to contain malware, if matched against known phishing campaign sources, or if the external sender has been the victim of account compromise. Additionally, a spam protection scoring system is used to quarantine suspected spam emails instead of delivering them to your mailbox.
Quarantined emails are kept for 14 days before being discarded, allowing you time to take action on them. Your email spam quarantine lists all currently quarantined emails and also allows you to update your individual email spam protection settings. Visit spam.southtexascollege.edu to access your email spam quarantine.
